A Life Made of Fado (and So Many Shares)
Throughout more than forty years of musical career – as a singer, musician, composer, lyricist and producer the history of Jorge Fernando is already confused with the History of Fado itself.
A disciple of Fernando Mauricio, companion of the road for Amålia Rodrigues, composer of enormous successes for his voice and that of other artists (“Boa-Noite Solidäo”, “Trigueirinha”, “Büzios”, “Quem Vem ao Fado” , “Rosas Brancas para o Meu Amor” or “Guitarra”), producer and mentor of Mariza, Ana Moura or Fåbia Rebordäo … Jorge Fernando is also, and above all, a huge fado singer who has left in Fado the imprint , unique, of his voice.
With thirteen recordings published in his own name (and dozens of others in which he left his signature as a producer, arranger or musician), Jorge Fernando recently edited yet another landmark album in his career, “De Mim Para Mim” with, side by side with songs interpreted solo, is the single “Sr. Doutor ‘I , shared with Antonio Zambujo, Agir, Dino D I Santiago and Jorge Nunes.
